Hi,
end of this month, consider my 1st time go to langkawi island. so, need to check with you guys who're experiencing there for long time. my doubt is:
is it everything that you buy there consider duty free? or only specific item consider duty free?
let say if im gonna buy electronic gadget, are they consider duty free stuff? correct me if im wrong. if not. i can buy here in KL area. please..

this is quite complicated, actually.
to be sure... you have to check with the Malaysian Customs what goods are dutiable.
as far as I'm aware, electronic goods are NOT dutiable... in other words, electronic goods are "duty free" all over Malaysia... however, there's "sales tax" to be paid... but, there's no "sales tax" in Langkawi... but, then again, there's transport cost to be considered when dealers quote their prices in Langkawi... which means that the price of electronic goods in Langkawi might not be as attracive as those in KL or Penang... the best way is to compare prices.
what's for sure is that computers are definitely cheaper in KL/Penang.
