Hi!
We are heading to Langkawi early next month, staying at the Sheraton Langkawi Beach Resort.. can anyone tell me if there are shops (for cool drink snacks etc) money changers and laundry services outside the hotel? I know all this will be available in the resort, but at a huge cost!!!

hi Rovad,
just read your post... fyi, there are places to get groceries (drinks, snacks and stuff) outside the resort premises... however, it's quite a distance for those not used to walking... just turn right from the main entrance and keep on walking... 15 minutes at the most... but the slight inclination ( read: small hill) might get one "out-of-breath" for a while.
but sorry, no money changers or laundry services... however, one of those shops, especially the souvenir shops, might exchange them for you.

got ..... but have to make a long walk about 30 minutes to reach the shop for snack... normally we ask the sharaton bells boy to do it for us... It's free of charges
