Hi there! Im looking at taking a job in Langkawi on about 10,000 Ringgit a month, just wondering if thats enough to live comfortably? Would be renting an apatment or condo or something, from what ive heard 10k is a fair bit, but was wondering if being a very touristy place are living costs higher than other parts of malaysia? Or does the tax free status negate this? Being single with no kids etc, id assume its plenty!
Thanks!

Well, most of the people here don't make 10K a month ... it's a lot to us. We can afford to have a car and a house with 4K income and can still raise a kid :)
Bob, what do you mean by "short but very happy live" ?

Vennie what I meant was that with 10k per month to live on ( and being single ) he would be able to be out partying every night.I asked what job he had in a joking manner because I couldn,t believe that someone with that level of income would need to ask the question would it be enough to live on- its not that long ago - a couple of years ago - perhaps- that you were saying that the average Langkawi Malay family were living on 1000RM per month. To ask whether he could manage on 10K PER MONTH just seemed rediculous in comparison. regards bob
