we only received one christmas card through the wonderful postal system this year !Cards that were posted beginning of december have still not arrived. The only mail we generally receive will be bills. My sister lived here in my house for six months and received no mail although plenty was sent from the UK.
Speaking to other expats they share the same problem.
Complaining at Kuah post office has no effect.
Anyone got any useful ideas ?

I guess we all have the same problem  :( I'm looking for a gps device small enough to go in the envelope and track where it's going  ;D Even the mail send locally is going missing ... I think if you write a big complain letter to KL ... it would be more effective. Use currier to send the mail  :-\

If the local postage is also going missing then it suggests the problem is right here on the island not KL !

Had my complaint letter printed in the Daily Star today- tues 5th and it didn,t take long for the post office to contact me after that- as well as a background member of the editorial team !.Anyone with complaints as regards missing mail I urge you to complain to customer care line 1-300-300-300   08.30am- 21.30pm mon - sat.I appreciate that a lot of you have given up and told friends/relatives that letters don,t reach here by normal methods - but please complain otherwise nothing ever will get done.My mother has sent me a postcard of my home town instead of a birthday card.Nice - but sad.It shouldn,t be like that.People pay postage costs and
should be able to have confidence letters stand a decent chance of getting here!
