Hi, my name is Aileen & my Partner & I are retiring & hoping to make a permanent move from the UK to Langkawi sometime after Feb next year & I'm just wondering if any of you expats on Langkawi can give me any feedback on your moving experiences to Langkawi, i.e. did you move under the MM2H programme or on a 3 monthly visa, did you have any problems shipping possessions out from your native Country? Hi,
Most of them move under MM2H, there's no problem shipping possessions in or out from Langkawi. But it will be costly though :)

will let you know how our move goes later this year- we have a contact to ship our goods from Butterworth to Langkawi- our holiday was good and far more relaxed in our own home this time.Its good to hear that you intend to move early next year.Will email you shortly.

Having been here now ,for four months, I would say that we definitely made the right choice in coming here, absolutely love itand wouldn,t dream about living anywhere else !
Did the visa run up to Saturn ( Thailand ).It took just over the hour to get there - nice trip for sixty Ringitt return fare.
Weathers lovely at this time of year !!!!!!!!!

Off to Malaysia on Thursday but we will only be in Langkawi for a couple of days in February. Let me know if you and Ani would like to meet up for a drink. We want to see what is happening about the residential development at Telaga Harbour so that might be a good place to meet. Delighted you are both so happy about the move..

my wifes name is Ani - Aileen and Denis Cooke are hoping to make the move in the not too distant future.
