Even though the taxi fare is not expensive, but for more convenience way to travel around the island is to rent a car and drive. Car, Motor Bike and Bicycle rental are popular on this island.
Car renting with insurance around RM120.00/day.
Motor Bikes are around RM24.00/day.
Bicycles are around RM12.00/day.
The rate might varied depending on seasons.

Bus
Buses are not a recommendation for getting around on Langkawi Island, as there's not many buses running around and it's going to take times waiting for buses.
If you would not like to rent a car, you may also charter a taxi on hour basis to do your own tour. It will only cost RM20.00/hr and RM10.00/hr for the taxi to wait for you while you are visiting the place.
